The Flag Raising Photo

Did you know that the iconic World War II flag raising on Iwo Jima photo was taken by a mustache? Joe Rosenthal and his lip rug shot the historic image on February 23rd 1945, and when you think about it, it seems obvious that only a mustache would be capable of taking the legendary Pulitzer Prize winning photograph.

Chris: Mustache Money Maker

Just 6 months ago Chris was a lowly tattoo apprentice relegated to mopping up blood off the tattoo parlor floor, until he took up piercing and invented the mustache septum and belly button rings (he is shown here modeling both himself instead of a smoking hot chick for some reason), and now he is the shops top producer averaging 17 piercings and 9 mustache rides a day.

My good friend and upper lip enthusiast, Jules Winfield, snapped these photos of the work of an anonymous street artist that has been writing the word moustache on the upper lip's of actresses on NYC subway posters. Some call it vandalism, but I call it art.

A Mustache's Resolution

Yesterday as my wife tortured me by making me take down the Christmas tree and all the other ridiculous paraphernalia it dawned on me that my prosperous lip sweater does not buy the highest quality presents for the ones I love. I am always getting predictable gifts, like this Christmas I bought my wife shoes, a facial, etc. very typical stuff and she got me a custom printed Mustache Revival t-shirt, and it is the most amazing work of art I have ever laid eyes on, like the Mona Lisa of cotton. So, anyway my resolution for this year is to put more thought into the gifts I buy and really put some smiles on people's faces, not the usual awkward thanks with no eye contact, and not only for this year, but for the rest of my gift giving life.
